Exciting News!

While visiting with Kimberly Vargas Agnese, (a new friend that I met on LinkedIn) she asked if I would like her daughter Stephanie to review my book, ABCs of What Children Need from their Parents! How fitting for a mother/daughter writing team to review my book which is about parent/child relationships! While pre-ordering Kimberly Vargas's poetry collection, Kadupul Flower, I never expected that her daughter, Stephanie Agnes-Crockett from Stephanie’s Ninth Suitcase, would review my journal.

Stephanie wrapped her arms around the journal and showed how, even with its sharp edges, it can be a tool to draw out thoughts that bridge connections between a parent and a child. Her genuine interest to review this journal that was published 20 years ago was truly a gift of solidarity that I just received yesterday.

“A versatile journal, ABCs of What Children Need from Their Parents offers a springboard for discussion, creative response, and together-time. The journal takes a very light-handed approach to traditional ‘directions,’ favoring flexibility over structure.”

Thank you, Stephanie, for the kind and detailed review of ABCs of What Children Need from Their Parents. My hardcover, spiral-bound resource journal invites parents and children to connect with one another at any age.

My writing has since sprung from the parent-child connection to focus on singing the Psalms and daily heart reflections with eyes on Jesus who alone enables us to continually connect to God and to each other from the heart.
