The Knicks’ path…and mine

The Knicks, since childhood, have been woven as a common thread connecting me with some dear family members through the years deeper than I knew. I thank God for the way he informed their playoff run this season and the way he led them to win the NBA World Championship just a week and a half ago! Their path reflects the redemptive story of Jesus that I see throughout the Bible and especially in the Psalms. My prayer for them has been that they not only enjoy the good gifts God has for them here and now on this earth, but that they would so embrace and trust him that they would receive the trophy that will never fade, tarnish, or grow old, the crown that lasts forever as they trust in and worship the Lord Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords!
